    Kosciuszko Pale Ale.

Wasn't Chuck Hahn the one who was in charge of starting off the Malt Shovel brand/James Squire. I agree that Hahn Super Dry etc is ordinary, but the JS IPA, Porter, Amber Ale etc are a big step up and and those beers are attributable to him? Correct me if I am wrong. Not saying Hahn is a great...

Beer For Summer - Need Ideas

For a simple and easy to drink summer beer you can't go past wheat beers. Best drunk fresh wish is great as you don't need to store or hold off on drinking them and they are very easy to brew. Have a look at some wheat recipes in the reipeDB. :)

    Cheers Craftbrewer

It's such a great feeling being able to pour your own home brew from your own home. Even after the novelty wears off, you will still get the random joy off waltzing up to your fridge/kegorator and pouring a cold one knowing there will not be 30 odd bottles to keep track of and clean!

    Best Co2 Cylinder Price Currently?

The biggest thing, IMO, is having a reliable re-filler close by that will deal with the specific brand of cylinder. If you have one sorted then happy days! :)

5l Party Keg With Own Pressure.

Got home and did some more research. Found the following link from the manufacturer amongst it all. http://www.huber-packaging.com/en/beverage...asykeg-ips.html I would assume that the plastic cover up top middle covers some sort of connection? Connecting parts identical to existing...

Sheaf Stout Is The Best Value Aussie Brew

Just having a Sheaf Stout right now. Like I mentioned earlier on they have stopped production. What is interesting is I randomly saw on the box what I believe is the manufacturing date. June 2007 on the box this one is out of. Does anyone know when they stopped brewing this beer?

Does Filtering Reduce Head Retention (dramatically)?

Really shouldn't be. What's the difference in age from bottles and keg? If you are force carbing the kegs and drinking asap then I can see how the head might not be staying around due to the co2 not being properly immersed in the beer. And if you are aging the bottles for weeks or monthly to...

    Wyeast 1968 London Esb

OG was 1.051. I do remember reading that this is a low attenuating yeast as well. I will give another hydro tomorrow after the increase in temp. If no change then I am leaning towards chilling and then onto the keg. :)

    Wyeast 1968 London Esb

Sorry for dredging up an old thread. I used this yeast for the first time just over a week ago in an English Bitter. Just checked a hydro sample to see if she's done and it's at 1.020. This was half expected as the temps have been only getting to 17-18, at most, lately. The temp controller has...

    State Of Origin Decider

Was a great game in terms of sending Lockyer off. Not the biggest fan of his but he is a champion. The high scoring and flowing of play was great but deep down I was hoping it came down to the last 5 mins with scores drawn. Great game though!
