It is Saflager S23. That came from the horses mouth at Coopers to another brew site.

I have brewed the Ironbark Old with 1 kg of stout mix and Willamette finishing hops and it turned out a great beer. The Caramalt would add a nice caramel taste to it and the dextrose give you the extra fermentable sugar. I'd go with it!!!!!!

Has anyone used this particular yeast before and hwat is it like? I am going to use it with an Xtract Pilsner kit from The Country Brewers along with 150gm of steeped Pilsner grain and 15gm of Saaz dry hopped. Any thoughts?

I would go with 20gm of Hallertau dry hopped with 1kg of LDME and Saflager or Daflager W37/40??

Always led to believe that Fuggles was the major hop used in making and IPA. Every IPA I have tried has had fuggles, with more fuggles, with still more fuggles coming thru in both flavour and aroma.

Put down a Morgans Australian Old with 600gm of DDME and 400gm of maltodextrin and Willamette hop bag. Bulk pimed with dextrose and left to mature in bottles for 3 months. Bloody beautiful.
