I've never had it go all clumpy like this before. Wort was vigorously aerated and whirlpooled before sprinkling evenly over surface. Yeast was us-05 from Keg King (their own package, not usual pink package), wort was about 24 deg. What gives?

I was debating whether or not to rehydrate it, which I haven't tried yet. I have another packet... Should I rehydrate that and re pitch?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it so best to leave it for the time being

Looks like it just hasn't dissolved and sunk yet.
How long has it been in there for?

Ok, thanks guys. This is actually the first time if used cling wrap, so I've probably never seen the yeast 5 mins after pitching. Seemed to happen immediately and just seemed odd. Will keep an eye on it.

Looks like your whirlpool was working. Otherwise looks normal for sprinkling dry yeast.

Love your Avatar, Rossbaker. I too await the Messiah's resurrection.
