I work for Council and am on over x-mas as the Duty Officer ie. to answer any building related questions for anydick that comes in off the street. I cant get any building approvals done as there are no admin staff working so is anyone else sitting at work today with nothing to do other than look at AHB?

+1 here. no time off even though the boss gets 3 weeks. oh well more brushing up on brewing on company time. nah ive got work to do anyway.

Not much happening except for a few disorganised buttwipes that expect us to fix stuff in miraculously short ammounts of time just because of NYE, at least the phone isn't ringing with inane inquiries.

Yeh Im here too Steve. Luckily I had the forethought to bring some refreshments into to work with me.

...oh and BTW I'm stuck here on my birthday  although when I get back to the beach house tonight there will be mucho

could be worse.. you could be at home sanding walls.

Drinking beers makes it easier

+1

I didn't realise how boring my job could be when there was no one else around. I've dozed off twice already today. It was all good though, I dreamt of kegs and IPA and woke up drooling

No I could be home finishing my colloar for my new chest freezer. anyway I feel better that I am not the only sap sitting at work dealing with a few ********* that think that just because its quiet they will get instant service.

NOT IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATE!

hhhmmm. Should I sign this form with a black pen or blue pen.
........
....

Fu#@k I'm bored

Somebody needs to post some brew porn to get my juices flowing

Yeah, snooze time in NSW government too. Seriously, why we're even open is beyond me. atm, I'm doing system support as we've had a freaky departure of staff recently (I've checked, it's not my de-odorant) and I'm the only one left apart from the Manager and one BA. Anyway, as there is bugger all going on, I've had a total of one (work related) phone call all day. Good thing the internet connection is quick today or I'd be climbing the walls. Would rather be brewing.

hmm, i got 2.5 hours sleep at work last night so it frees up some time today to go to the brew shop to make up a starter for sunday.

doh!! damn brewshop is shut for the holidays!! slacker!

Never sign anything with black pen. Always use red, green or blue. Banks hate cheques signed with pens not blue or black and it always used to be that you could claim any signature in black was an obvious copy because...

OK - I'm not at work, but I can still goof off, can't I? :D

Yep i'm at work also.....1 phone call in 2 days which created 40 seconds of work. Thank god the cricket is on T.V and there is a 2:30pm train home.

Well I just added the Schwarzbier into my brew schedule. So I plan on getting the chest freezer collar done this weekend so I will have room for one more keg. But as my local HBS is closed I will brew a Irish Red (ducatiboys) on Monday then 2weeks later I will brew the Schwarzbier then the Hefe. that should take care of the bulk of my summer drinking. Then I have a Hobgoblin clone all ready to go along with Barrys choc porter, it was great when I bottled it so it should be great kegged.

So thats my brewing planned out for the next 6 months...........................what next..................

It's good to our rates and taxes being used so efficiently. (someone had to say it)
Well I guess they are in a way, as everyone else is on a/l so Council in its wisdom opens the doors to the few general public who might need our services. The fact that everyone here is on a/l makes it imposible to get any work done anyway. What they should do is close down over this period but then the public would be complaining about that too. You cant win.

I'm at work, but luckily my sister has a pub just across the road.

I could only have 3 stubbies of CPA with lunch just in case I have to use any saws and such

If I worked at Safeway I'd have the sack by now
