Well I used to own half a V8 :p The third in a line of 3 esky's The first the 1300GT was the most fun on a dirt road though.

(not worried about the number plates.... I no longer own it and it's now unregistered while in for a facelift to blood orange paint and a cosworth propulsion unit etc etc.)

Borret

I still drive an esky Borret :super:. Never thought I'd be posting about my escorts in a muscle car thread LOL. It's my third, none particularly flash but the first one was a nice example. It went hard for a 1.3L :p

My first one and my current one are 1976 Mk2's, 1.3L and 1.6L respectively. And one was a 2L inbetween that. I planned to pull the 2.0L and rebuild it with a few options and drop in into my 1.3. Glad I gained some sense before I dropped money into it all. Doubly glad because my 1.3 got stolen shortly after and was written off in a "high speed" ;) cop chase. Thing was they thought it was me driving it and didn't bother to chase and catch the guy when he ran after driving my car through a fence at the end of a dead end street. Well f$5k me drunk, it wasn't me was it!!!

I used to have a Mk2 Cortina 1600GT too. That was a cool car. Halfback seats (great for the whiplash junkies-so glad I never go rear ended in that). Green with GT stripes. Wish I still had it actually.

Would like an R34 Skyline at this point in time. Dreamin.

Ah anyway.

I used to drive 3/4 of a V8 - a 1970 3 litre V6 Capri GT. Potent little motor car if you could live with the British engineering foibles of the time. Got my eye on a 66 Mustang GT fastback further down the track.

Here they are at Sandown on a track day - GTR with it's track wheels.

Not driving anything at the moment & wont be for a further 12 months :(

Not 100% sure on muscle car definition but this is my toy anyway.

The engine in it when this pic was taken made 252kw at the tyres, the one ive built since should make considerably more. If only i could run it in to see how it goes.....

If an "esky" makes it in a muscle car thread then I am going to nominate my car:

A 350.
It makes a sweet sound too, no need for the radio, just wind the windows down and let her rip :)

Here"s my 350. It does the job well for me.

Does a 600hp '94 GTR count? What about a 120hp '65 Cooper S? Not what I'd call muscle but mighty quick and mighty fun.

NRB, I race a mini too!
Here's me in action :)

POS EA Ghia
1/5 a tank of juice to get up to 110km in 15 minutes
each air/con regas lasts 3days at $119 a pop
great decorative handle bar dents along side from kids in street
stupid idle-up box is fritzy so sometimes it won't idle at all unless you've got your foot down (handy for an automatic in bunnings carpark) and you can't stop at the traffic lights with the a/c running (for those 3 days with gas) because the idle-up let's it stall.
Aftermarket locks the central locking after 3 minutes, no matter what. Great for those times you just jump out and leave the keys in & running...... i could go on... <_<

But it's got power windows and an MP3 player B)

did i mention it's for sale?
