Using a liquid yeast for the 1st time and decided to use WLP300 with my standard extract recipe wheat beer. Fermentation kicked off between 6 and 14 hrs after pitched but by another 6-8 hours the brew had frothed up to the lid and was bubbing through the air lock. It's settled down now but just wanted to get an idea if this is normal or was that vial of yeast particularly excitable?

Cheers

Peter
