No Chillin' Like a Villain.
Hey guys. I have had my Saison going strong for nearly 2.5 weeks with Wy 3724 (og 1041 fg 1003) at 30'+ and went to keg up last night. Simple recipe, 60/30/10 pils, wheat, Munich.
I used glad wrap on this and noticed these white flakes on the top of the finished beer.
It tastes fantastic, hence why this is not posted in the infection thread. I am fairly confident it's not an infection. They look like white fish flakes, when I scraped some off the side of the fermenter, it is slimy like yeast and tastes like yeast. I'm thinking it's yeast?
I can recall someone talking about yeast in one of it's stages doing this, but couldn't find anything.
I have searched and searched and could only find some info HERE
These are the best pics I could get.
Whadya reckon?
Cheers in advance.
It stuck to the edges as I drained into the keg.
