Where Can I Get Wyeast 1469?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get some Wyeast 1469 from? I want to have a go at DrSmurto's Landlord.

1469 was one of the 'private collection' limited edition yeasts that dont come around too often. It may be back eventually...

AFAIK won't be available for a long time (it was a special release). For a similar yeast try Wyeast Ringwood 1187 which is also a Yorkshire yeast. I'm using it at the moment and it is behaving exactly like 1469 did, creamy buttery head and I beat it into the wort every morning just the same.

Dr Smurto reports great results with TTL and this yeast.

I've got about 50 stubbies with 1469 in the bottom. If you live in Melbourne we may be able to arrange something.

I bought a smack pack of this in Feb to make a TTL. Now I know its no longer available I should start to save the dregs for a culture.
