Well I'm looking for a new PAYG/Pre-Paid mobile plan as the Aldi one will cease and the new ones are to exy

Looking for a plan more suited to data as I mostly use data on my phone and very few calls & txt.

Whats out there and what are they like..

Aldi plan ceases?

I didn't get that email.

How much are you currently paying and what are the call and data allowances you get?

Aldi $15/2gb/15days ceases on 1/4/14.

It goes to a $30/3gb/30days

I use 4gb/mnth

TBH, I think that's just about the best value you're going to get for pre-paid

If your ISP is iiNet they used to have some competitive pricing with good data (not sure currently haven't checked lately).

Used to, but their offerings are pretty average these days
I'm on a grandfathered iiNet plan, $20 for 1.5gb, $500 worth of calls, unlimited SMS and unlimited calls to other iiNet mobiles

Lucky I have an unlocked H/set. Samsung galxy ace, so changing sim cards isnt a prob

Just got the email.

Fucken Aldi, those new plans are absolutely ******!

I want unlimited back, or at least pseudo unlimited as it had degraded to lately.

I thought the mobile plan market in Australia was finally on an upward move, looks like it's all going downhill again.

Its got to do with Telstra, who is Aldi's ISP. Telstra just dont want to offer a cheap rate. There *****, just like Micro$oft.

If you want to get ripped off, look at Telstra Pre-paid plans. A ******* joke...

You must be the life of all the parties. Get help man.

Yep, once they managed to force Kogan out of the market, prices have gone up sharply. Aldi started at 6g for their standard addon, dropped to 2g, and according to their website, to 1g from 1st April.

I'm looking for another provider too, but unless I'm willing to use a reseller on the Optus network, I think I'm ******.

I only go to non Micro$oft parties.....The ones where you can take your own brew, share it & not get charged for the privilege or get asked questions as to why you want to drink a particular style of beer......you should go to one Cube...there great....no Megaswill to be seen...

Not sure what happened with the plan to auction off a 126MHz broadcast spectrum freed up by the decommissioning of analog TV, but there was hope it would be used to improve mobile broadband services.

No doubt, Telstra will nab a big slab of it and develop new ways to remain the same, then charge more for it.

Yep, was meant to post that yesterday but never got around to it.

Unfortunately they run on the optus network, I've tried an amaysim card a few years back and it's no good onside my house.

Really looking for a reseller on the Telstra network, but realise there are not many left.
Guess I have to stick with Aldi for now, but it's not ideal with minute restrictions and all that ********. Really there shouldn't be anything else than PAYG and unlimited, I never got those packages that sell you $300 worth of credit for $40. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
