yep no beer for me on brewday... maybe, MAYBE, only one after first hop addition... i know manticle completly agrees with me here

manticle is quite upset with you and your heathen ways.

If you don't drink beer how can anything be considered right for the whole day?

Beer as you crack the grain, beer as you heat the HLT, beer as you dough in and beer as you sparge.

Brewing is thirsty work and there are golden rules that must be obeyed.

The only exception I will allow to that rule is if you replace some/all of the beer for cider.

Christ if I stuck to your regime, I would end up mashing for six hours at 80 degrees, plonking in hops by the handful at random moments throughout a four hour boil before running hot wort all over my big pasty bare legs. (I like to brew in my daffy duck budgie smugglers for the nosy neighbours benefit who thinks Im cooking up crystal meth every few weeks)

A bit like having three cubes of simiiliar colour and OG wort and trying to figure out which is which because you though could remember without labeling them.

ha ha me too, I dont feel so stupid now. Although i have mixed up only two cubes, thinking she'll be right, the ? one is on the left.
