i second the fact that coopers largies are the best.
im only new but got my bottles from a long time brewer who says theyre 5 years old.
if theyre looked after they'll last Forever. i have spent over $1000 collecting coopers crown bottles (and enjoying the contents!!). being in the wine industry i have all the champagne bottles in the world at my disposal, and it may be psychological but beer comes in brown bottles. but all the while had the option of using champagne bottles, but knowing these bottles will outlast your brewing gives some satisfaction. well worth the investment. and i havent dare try to "sell" my home brew to friends/family but i know no matter what the quality, anything in a plastic bottle with a pepsi label would get thrown at me.
just my turn on the soapbox. initial investment, although difficult, is always worth it in the end
