Whats the difference between the two? Is it just a matter of when you are wanting to make a true bohemian pilsener you use the Bo pils instead of the normall weyermann pils? How big is the difference between the two?
Cheers
Steve

the bohemian pils is made from Moravian barley, and malted slightly differently too I think. The bopils has a rounder maltier flavour, whereas the regular Weyermann has that light "pencil shavings" German malt taste. Some people say they get better results protein resting bopils but I think it's fine with a single infusion.

The Bo Pils is a Moravian-grown malt from the Hanka strain of barley and is slightly less well-modified than the Pils which makes it good for decoctions, but a single infusion mash would still be fine.

I think the difference is quite subtle. Weyermann also make a "Premium Pilsner", listed in their spec sheets, however it doesn't seem that it makes it to Oz.

Thanks fellas
Steve
