Managed to get a gulp of CO2 from my cylinder down me. I feel alright now, pretty much, but ******* hell it could have ended up worse. Don't ask how.

Actually,
I have to ask how?

Yeah. Was testing out my cask breather as my cask conditioned bitter is ready to tap this weekend. Hooked it up to the gas, no gas was coming out - which I should have realised was the correct behaviour - so thought "hang on, does this thing work?" - took a big suck of the gas out end. Yep, it worked alright. Prat.

It's only dangerous if you've got a ******** sticking their chops on the end of a CO2 pipe.

CO2 isn't too much of a problem, unless you're breathing it in for extended periods.

Pure oxygen on the other hand could cause you all sorts.
