Do you know exactly what is in your LHBS's "Muscle Pack"?

nah i dont i think its made more for gold beers.
i laso have light malt extract powered
and
2 x morgans choc malt cans
1 x morgans dark cystal malt
2 x morgans larger malt
1 x morgans cramael malt

I've just started drinking my

Morgans Saaz Pilsner
500g LDME
Morgans Lager malt
200g honey
12 POR hops(15min boil)

Kit yeast brewed at
17c 5 days
18c 1 day
20c 2 days
5c 7 days
3c 2 days

Then kegged @ 1bar for 3 weeks @ 3c.

One of the best beers I have made.

Next time I will not use the POR hops, it was supposed to be Nugget. (son grabbed wrong bag)

qld keV I've got all that I'm real keen to try hops but only gave the following
Por
Cluser
green bullet
Fuggles
Goldings
B saaz nz motueka
Styrian
What would u reccpmend?
And do I just boil for 15 min then add to fermentor?

Oh and I can't control temps that well will it be fine at 18-20 maybe spoke at peak of day at 24

I would go the fuggles or cluster.

Bring approx 1L water to the boil, add every thing except the kit, boil 15mins; kill the heat and add kit. Leave for 5 mins and add to fermentor. You could also try adding the hops at flame out for more auroma.

Try keep the temp around 18, dont let it get over 20. There are heaps of ideas on here about making a cooler. basically a box that you drop ice in with your brew. The 100 can coolers are easy.

Why add dextrins to a pils style
Why use ale yeast for a Lager
Why ferment a lager at 20C
Why use Fuggle in a Pils

I'm so confused :p

Why add dextrins to a pils style - cause its the syle we may like
Why use ale yeast for a Lager - cause we may like the flavour profile of the yeast, and the reduced brew time
Why ferment a lager at 20C - 18 actually!! cause were using an ale yeast
Why use Fuggle in a Pils - Cause more Saaz would be boring, and fuggle would be a nice twist - the earthy/woodyness would combine with the honey flavours and also from the Fuggle would add a nice slightly fruity undertone.

Why not also recommend he becomes an AG brewer
Why not also madatory kegging
Why not also invest a lot of time and $$ for his brewing

Maybe some of us like to experiment and break some rules; not just follow an old recipie. It is just a hobby after all!

Some people are just confused in life

I would have to say that if I were trying to create a beer that in no way resembled a Pils, then go ahead with the above.

It sure as hell won't be a Pils.
