Just dropped my 1lt. erlenmeyer flask off the work bench. It hit the carpet mat in the garage, bounced three feet onto the concrete floor, bounced twice more and finally smashed to bits. I was gobsmacked. With each bounce I was thinking - 'shit this might not break' - but it did. Off to Livingstones to get a new one next week but very surprised on the strength of the glass.
