Newbie brewer question ,I have just finished my first batch of morgans pale ale basic kit.So i thought i would have a go at largering a tooheys special rather than liquid sugar was advised to use the morgans booster blend and morgans premium larger yeast.I have done everything to the letter temps with in range when adding yeast the only thing i have changed was using spring water .Was told to ferment for 10 days at 10 c then 10 days at 18 c then 14 days at 2 c. My question is do largers start to ferment quicker than ales as it has started to ferment in less than 24 hours.cheers

Title edited to read LAGER.

Folks, it's a Lager, not a LARGER.
And once more for the dummies, it's LAGER.

If you start your fermentation at 10ºC, then you'd be well advised to pitch 2 packets of yeast.
You'd be better to ferment at 10ºC for 2 to 3 weeks, then raise to 18ºC for about 2 to 3 days only.
Up to you how long you lager at 2ºC, but any longer than 14 days you might consider racking your brew off the yeast.

If you truly started fermenting at 10ºC, you could normally expect it to take off slower than an ale fermented at higher temperatures.

have just checked sitting on 10 c ad plenty of airlock action,so is there a time limit to add second packet of yeast.cheers

She's away, so I'd let it continue as is.
Just store the idea of 2 packs away for next time.

Will do only my second batch, still learning .thanks heaps for advice
