I've been looking into rye. All of the stuff grown here is for feed grain or even silage. Same goes for oats. I'd love to have a malted oat product. Maybe smaller bags for that one.
I don't know enough about different rye varieties to be able to choose a suitable malting variety but it is definitely something on my horizon.
Another issue is the fact that, due to my small scale, I'm not really in a position to be asking growers to grow specific crops.
I might be able to source some raw rye though. Leave it with me.

Was talking to Brewmatt today, in a strange coincidence at my local where myself, Bribie, Shaunus & brewmatt happened to be in the same pub within about 1 hr of each other..

Brewmatt was toying with the idea of doing a mini bulk buy via the general NSW buy for us Nth Coasters to get it over the line..

sp0rk, Crusty & Shaunus, you all need malt, so get in on it, to get a skid ( mini pallet ) up from Sydney wont cost a great deal

Missed the pickup question. We're open Monday-Friday 8am to 2pm, and by the time this arrives we'll open Saturday 10am-4pm. No dramas if you can't get it on a particular day as it'll go on the pallet racks with the other malts
