Reminds me of a night in my late teenage years when we did flaming sambuccas.

Glass wasn't full enough to cool the rim. Blew out the flame. Hot glass stuck to my lips leaving a white burn circle. Mirth ensued.

Well, when I did flaming scotch (the only way to make Hundred Pipers dirnkable) there was nowhere near that amount of flame. It's possible that they used something more flammable...

Maybe something like Polish White Spirit or similar? It's 80% ABV and it's on your Uncle Dan's retail shelves. Happy experimenting.

HAHAHAHA I seen something simmilar happen at a bar in Dublin last year a bloke set his shirt on fire, he was fine but because he didn't have a shirt to wear he was asked to leave he got a huge cheer from everyone as he left and the bouncer got boohed all night when he would do his walk about. Was so so so so funny

EverClear (an american spirit) is 190proof, so there's no doubt about the flammability

Yeah it doesnt flame that much if you do it properly, some people seem to scull a beer or a shot by pouring it half over their face, with the increased surface area you can get a lot more flame that just the to for a shot glass. Itd be even worse if he coughed or something after taking it, I bet you could firebreathe spraying our regular 40% spirits through pursed lips

You can see that he's coughed or tried to blow which of course has turned the alcohol into a spray much like if you were to hold a lighter in front of some aeroguard. Spray creates very small droplets which has significantly increased the surface area that the flammable substance can be exposed to air and of course creates a bigger flame which also burns out quicker. The joys of being a risk and safety engineer for the oil and gas industry.
