After getting flooded out by Moggill Ck in the Brisbane floods in May last year, our insurance company came through with the goods and so began almost a year's worth of repairs and renovations, including new walls, flooring, room configurations, furniture, electrical goods, and most importantly of all.... a new 500L chesty and a new bar!!! Wooo-bloody-hooo! Had the grand opening party two weeks ago, and it ran like a charm. I served up 8 kegs on tap and they all got emptied and a fun night was had by all

Photos of the set up as follows (sans party guests :icon_cheers: )

The Bar!

The stainless pattern was my design I borrowed off a bar in town. Took them a few goes to get it right

The bar top is river redgum, polished to perfection by my floor sanding mate DR Main (totally affiliated as he's my neighbour and poker buddy :)

Brass font bought on e-bay for 25 pounds. Taps are English Dalex.

Andale font bought from Sluggerdog. The drip tray just slides out for easy cleaning.

Plenty of storage. Bench is pine with marine varnish.

Thanks Ross.

Yeah sorry the wife limited the invites to neighbours and rellies etc. I am hoping to have a brewerhood gathering in the near future..... pending authorisation

Bloody awesome snow, where did you get the wood from?

Picked it up from the Maleny wood festival a few years ago. Got it for $125. A bargain for 2.6 metres!

Bloody awesome Snow, I bet it feels really good sitting at the bar having a pint or two, looks fantastic.
