Sir Christopher Lee, known as the master of horror, has died at the age of 93 after being hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure.
The veteran actor, immortalised in films from Dracula to The Wicker Man, and via James Bond villainy to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, died at 8.30am on Sunday morning at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Come Christopher, it is time to keep your appointment with the wicker man. You did it beautifully.

Used to love watching those cheesy Hammer House of Horror films as a kid, late on a Friday night on BBC2. Always remember Christopher Lee as the villain ('made a career out of it!).

RIP

93 great wicket and to have been acting in roles in Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit at his age is just awesome.

RIP Christopher Lee.

What an incredible career, not only in film but a remarkable role in WW2 - and he worked till the end. No early retirement to the Gold Coast at 55 to play lawn bowls till he died.

And he recorded a Metal Album last year.

I remember watching one of his Dracula movies back in the mid 70,s it scared the **** out of me,I would have been about 10 yrs old when I watched it in my Nannas house ( we didn't have a TV) which was down the back of my parents place.
That 20 metre stretch from Nannas door to our back door was done in sheer terror hoping he wasn't lurking in the darkness.
Ahh the good old days.
