I was all excited to make a brown ale last weekend but made a mistake when ordering my grains.
Instead 70g of roast barley I ordered 700g.
I did not even realise till today, 2 days since I brewed.
I thought the bag of grains looked quite dark but I was buying some unfamiliar grains so I just assumed it was them.
Turns out I've brewed myself a stout. Roasted Barley is 9.6%.
I was really wanting an easy drinking sweet brown ale, bugger!
Fingers crossed for the end result........
(I searched for a stuff up thread but couldn't find one, so here it is).
