Lets just say I usually bottle into PET but I plan to put this RIS down for a few years. So I thought I better bottle into glass and had a rustle through my dusty box of empties. Mostly Coopers, the odd Euro, couple from Aussie bottle conditioned, and ONE screwtop Aussie megaswill lager long neck. As I don't bottle very often I used my Dad's 'Your taking a hell of a risk' hammer capper with the bottle sitting on a folded towel.

Of course all went well until I got to the megaswill longie. Oh well, one out of 20 bottles ain't bad!

I can sympathise, having worn 750ml of Wizard's Miff today. Apparently PET bottles can still break when dropped, and cover a large area in beer. Bit of a mess to clean up, but at least no glass shards anywhere.
