Hi All,
I had a pint of the new Little Creatures Single Batchg Shepherds Delight the other day and yeah ! I like it !
It's called a Red IPA but I can't seem to find much on them let alone a K&K (with additions) recipe.
Anyone got something like it ? (have done 24 brews & hop scheds, and steeping etc so up for it, just not All Grain, steeping ok)
The LC one says the hops are Southern Cross Dr Rudi, Stella, Chinook and EK Goldings.
Many thanks,
Cheers,
Andrew

Take a normal IPA recipe and change the spec malts to 10% caraaroma and 1% roast barley and it'll be ruby red.

I'm doing one this weekend, as above but also with 10% rye and 69% base.

The only thing is that caraaroma is a pretty full on malt and at 10 percent could be a bit much in an ipa (for me anyway).

I get decent red colour from using medium crystal caramalt and carafa 1/or choc malt in red ales.

Thanks guys.
What about the hop schedule ?
I also liked the "taste", sort of like a malt/orange (Jaffa) LOL ?
