Brewer's Notes

38 IBUs in BeerSmith rather than the 44 IBU given here. Also, FG was 1.010 (OG is correct). Mashed (single infusion) at 66C for 90 mins. After 3 months this is a seriously complex ESB - pushes all my buttons! The hopping has worked well, with the aroma of the SG (dry hopped for 3 days), and the piney spiciness of the Challenger and Northdown supported by the strong backbone bitterness of Target. Molasses blends in nicely too - unobtrusive but you just get a hint of it. A beer to savour slowly.
