If you are aiming for an American Pale Ale, I'd be using American hops.

Im pretty sure Fuggles are an English hop
Try Cascade,Citra,Cenntenial,Chinook,Cluster,Amarillo or Simcoe
Or any other of the American hops link

IF you want to be more true to style then change the hop. If not it still looks good.

Glad to see you worked it out mate :)

Although there's no need to boil for 90 mins with pale ale mat, and I'd move your 30 min addition to 20 mins.

I would drop the mash temp and for hops i would put more late and less early.

Rough guide for me is at around 1/3 at 60mins the resr from 20-15 mins onwards

Change out for american hops. Mind you fuggles is one of my favorite hops so i would be queinf up for it still

Hopes that helps

EDIT for hops detail

Thanks for the replies, Brewmate decided for me to make my recipe an American Pale Ale..

Also, I'm using fuggles as I have a full packet and every time I open the fridge, it stares at me..

And I might change the hop additions..

cheers

That's what i was thinking too...

Change yeast, change it's name to EPA and you're done. No idea if it falls into an English Pale category or not (it may not even matter) but it should be a delicious drop i reckon.

How did you get on with this one? Looking to try Fuggles myself.

I had a Black Mac last weekend and loved it, it uses Fuggles so though that would be my next hop of choice. :)
