Hi all, first post here.
Sorry if this has been covered, but I've looked around quite a bit and never seen a good discussion.
I use rainwater for brewing (BIAB) run through a cartridge filter. I add salts to get my water profiles, based on the assumption that the basic profile of the rainwater is neutral.
Is this common amongst other home brewers (especially here in Aus where many houses collect their rainwater)? Does anybody see any issues with this?
I'm 60 batches in and I'm generally happy with the beers I'm making, but always looking for ways to improve - just wondering if this element of brew day is as good as it could be.
Cheers all. Comments appreciated.
