Hey Pumpy... What type of pump is that and how much did it set you back?

Can you turn the rate up and down?
(I am looking at a pump to get wort from the kettle to CFC via syphon (no hole in kettle) as the syphon rate is a bit slow....)

MHD it's a march pump, costs about $180 + shipping from Process pumps (or SpecialK on this site, one and the same). Don't quote me on the price but do a search on March Pumps.

Yes you can turn the rate up and down. You do this by opening and closing a ball valve on the pump output.

Be aware they are not self priming, so it won't be a s simple as throwing a hose in the kettle and pumping away. You will still need to start the syphon.

My recommendation is install a ball valve on your kettle and save yourself the hastle of having to syphon. Then get a pump if you wish.

What happened to the photos ???

Modorators are cracking down on pics of things that are usually used as HLT's and kettles on here.

and with good reason too.

If that's the case there's not going to be many photos of peoples brewing rigs when the gallery's up & running ;)
