Hi all,
Just bottled my first AG, however, ive realised that promash is giving me the alc % of it without taking into account the priming sugar. Its a minor issue really, but is there anyway i cna get the final alc %to take this into account?

Cheers, Rob

Rob,

Ive come up with that conclusion also. The only way around it i thought would be to add the priming sugar amount to the main recipe ingredient list. That should square things up. <_<

Another thing i have noticed recently is that the alc reading on my brews is out a fair bit to normal calculations.

OG-FG=Total drop

Total drop x 0.134 = Alc by volume

My promash recipes can be out by up to 0.5%........Strange!!

I cant figure out how to square that one up.

Regards,

Mudsta

I read somewhere that to calculate the alcohol was simply OG-FG without the decimal point (ie in whole thousands) divided by 7.4 (vague alcoholic memory says 7.36 is more accurate??) and add .5% if bottling.

Yeah thats what i normally go off Steve. Thats how i figured promash wasnt calculating the priming amount of sugar in there.
