i was wondering if any one had any expeirence with priming bottles using brown sugar?? and what were the outcomes.

Its fine, you wont notice any flavour difference from white sugar or dextrose as its just for priming...

Used in bigger amounts it can give off a toffee or molasses type flavour, but youd need at least a few hundred grams id say...

If you plan to use a spoon as a measuring device, watch out for discrepancies in weight vs volume. Brown sugar is quite "fluffy".

I use it once for priming and it was a bit under carbed IIRC. Couldn't taste the difference.

I've got a mate who brew Can of goos all the time and prime with brown sugar.
Taste like Tooheys.

When bottling I use whatever sugar is available, often raw or brown sugar, both with no issues as per posts above.
