So this was dug up.

The recipe would be typed 40+ years old.

Interesting method, would give plenty of body.

$2 to make 19 Ltrs! Interesting mash temp and times too. Great find frothy[emoji106]
 
Tandaco bread yeast would be a good sub in brews of that era. For a NSW version, add half a bottle of Parisian Essence. And never attempt to brew after Easter, as we all know that it gets far too cold for brewing and the yeast will die.
 
Starts off with 1 gallon and adds 6 pints of warm water, morning and afternoon, until the keg is full.

I can only brew AFTER Easter... to bloody hot here in summer...
 
My Brother is telling me to make this, what a bastard.
I kind of wanted to because being Pop's and all, but I keg, so this will mess with my production line.

I wonder what the hops would have been, POR wasn't around until the late 50's? May be fuggle.
I have very little info on what was available back then

To add table salt, yeah, nah, ever since I brewed with spring water, i can taste salt in beer. I wonder if it really needs salt.

Anyone have any info on Olinda yeast?
If not, US-05 it is then.

I will get my revenge.
