Hi all,

I brewed last week, and must have left my pH meter turned on. Now, the display just shows a "1", regardless of whether the meter is in liquid or not.

I have changed the batteries, turned off and on, but no change.

Have I stuffed the meter? :(

Cheers, BenH.

What type of pH meter do you have? One piece, or seperate probe conencted by lead to box?

If option 2, it could just be the probe has shat itself and needs reconditioning, a soak in a 2M KCl soln overnight should do the job.

Meter rearely carks it, it would most likely be the probe, question is: Is a spare available, can it be replaced, is it a throw away jobbie.

Thanks fellas, I have one of the all-in-one jobbies, like Mashmaster sells.

I know nothing, but thought it might be that I've stuffed the bulb 'thingy' (told you I knew nothing! :p )

Suggest you contact whoever you bought it from and see whether they've heard of the problem before, and what they recommend to fix it.

Cheap units though, so easily replaced.
