OK, here's the deal. I am waiting for Angela to get back to me, and I'm off for a week in Queansland on Thursday early AM. I hope to get final pricing tomorrow and let everyone know. I will be adding 15% for GST and Import Duty, and if I get them through without having to pay it, I'll send you cash back when I send the taps. I'll leave bank details here so everyone can send their funds in the week while I am away, then order when I get back.

Sounds good. Thanks Pete

Great stuff!

Hope you get to enjoy some nice Qld weather with some cold ones!

Did we find out if shanks are available or not in the end. Did quick read back and didnt find if available.

Guess we will know at the end of the week.

Good things come to those that wait they say

Sorry guys, price is $37 ( possible money back if things go well) I'll be emailing you each very soon with bank details. Still have a few more days inb QLD in holidays, but will get back to you soon.

Pete - I'm a big fan of your work so thanks for organising this.

BTW - I appreciate that the bulk buy was organised for taps + handles and that you haven't discussed pricing for anything else, however a lot of people have been asking about the additional bits and pieces (shanks and tail pieces). I've scanned the thread and I don't believe that you've addressed this question. Would you mind confirming whether there is scope to include the additional parts in this order?

Yep great job, great price. Im the same did a quick look through to see if shanks were mentioned at all. I did want any to start with but check fatlock prices and had a re think. If not easy enough to pick up off of ebay.

Hope hol up in queensland is good, looks better weather than down south.

Once again really appreciate the good work in organising such a good bullk buy.

Second that, especially the bit about your awesome work in organising this.

Its just that, for those of us who need shanks, if we have to order separately, a lot of the BB savings are going to be eaten up anyway so why bother?

Again, I'm not trying to be a horse-dentist! A strait yes or no on the shanks is all you need to say.

OK, Point well made.

What length shanks?

I'll go back and get handle prices as well

Just as a point of interest, when i bought my Perlicks from O.S several years back I also enquired about the shanks. In my case the supplier said that the snaplock shanks were not widely / hardly used or asked for in the States and that they (supplier) did not stock them. I still bought the Perlicks but picked up some secondhand shanks. Even if you have to buy the shanks in Ozz I still regard $37 just for the taps as bloody cheap compared to $90 +

Just thought I would mention my experience. Not to say that they are not now available in the States.

BYB

Dont know about everyone else, but 3" shanks would do me. Will it be easy enough to find a tail/nipple piece to fit on the end or should we look into this aswell?

Thinking 4" just to make sure, my fridge looks about 3" thick. Will drill hole tomorrow and check.

I agree with BYB that it would be awesome to at least get the taps at a discount (esp if the bulk buy is getting too complicated), although I do appreciate BlackFish's view too.

I imagine 3" would cover most but when BB'ing I would expect everyone would happy enough with slightly longer if someone needed them longer. The appreciative folk benfiting from your organisation probably don't want to compound any organisational hassels by making the order 'X 3" and Y 4" and Z 12" (yes this is an assumption  ).

I think that what,s the point off a tap without a shank? Whilst they may be cheap they are not much use if you cant get beer out of them. I want mine for the coolroom so 4" is good but could get away with 3".
