G'day,
I've just put on my first serious homebrew cider.
I've read about as much as I can online and have come up with this user friendly makeshift version.
23lt
2kg raw sugar
1 tin of tinned apples ( pie fruit ) 800g
1 pack coopers ale yeast
Half pack yeast nutrient

Going to put some lactose in when bottling.
Thinking about some citric acid too.
Maybe a pinch of bicarbonate of soda?

I'll let you know how it goes?

Please give me some feed back and let me know what you think.

Waltzing Matilda.

Hey there I've never made cider before but I thought that you used the juice of the Apple and not the fruit. Happy to be corrected

Seems to be something missing....

G'day, I've bottled it after 7 days into 2.25Lt plastic bottles put a bit of ground ginger citric acid and bicarbonate of soda, no extra sugar and the bottles are now carbonated.
Once the bottles get to hard I put them in the fridge and drink em.
Tastes more like a hard lemonade actually more like lift.
Come out sweet as because I've bottled it early with no extra sugar.
I'm drinking it every night.
Quick turn around and very sweet.
Only low in alcohol but very refreshing.
I give it three stars for a mild hard lemonade.
