MONTEITHS SUMMER ALE IS BACK AND HITTING THE AUSTRALIAN
MARKET FOR THE FIRST TIME
First released to the New Zealand market in 1998, Monteiths Summer Ale has steadily increased in popularity with every summer that it arrives in bars, restaurants, liquor stores and supermarkets nationwide.
But, Monteiths Summer Ale and its frequently requested taste will no longer be limited to New Zealand shores. This summer, the Aussies will get to enjoy what the Kiwis have treasured for years.
An incredibly successful limited release brewed by the Monteiths Brewing Company, Monteiths Summer Ale has experienced 800% growth in hectolitre volume since its inception.
Monteiths brand manager, Jacqui Jones attributes the brands success to the way it captures summer.
Monteiths summer ale is like the essence of summer in a bottle. Its a refreshing brew, with a spicy, sweet edge.
It encapsulates all the enjoyable aspects of summer, like warm weather, socialising outside with friends and relaxing in idyllic spots.
More and more people are drinking Monteiths Summer Ale each year. Its release date is eagerly awaited by consumers and trade alike, she said.
Monteith s Summer Ale will be released to the New Zealand market on 13 October and shortly after in Australia.
We are currently selling Monteiths Original, Golden and Black through a contract with Woolworths in Australia. The success of these brands paved the way for Monteiths Summer Ale, says Ms Jones.
The good taste of Monteiths Summer Ale will spread mainly by word of mouth in Australia, but - as in New Zealand that was all that was needed to get the brand where it is today.
