This thread has some info, seems most people don't consider it a suitable product to discuss on this forum. In my opinion its a fine enough drink when the weather is hot and your not looking to challenge your taste buds too much.

Had a six pack of Monteiths Summer Ale last week, but got the spiced one! (Is this the one you are talking about?)
Tasted a lot like ginger beer gone very wrong!
