As long as its kept up to date it should be ok...the "splitter" is the responsible one who owns that bag and should be in charge of it...as far as i'm concerned, as long as the numbers all match up by lock out, i'm happy. All splits would need to be finalised before lockout to be counted in. I don't want 3-4 bags in the "SPILT" list after the lock out. I won't count them. I don't want unwanted grain left over that i personally have to be responsible for. Might sound harsh but I don't need an extra headache. Also it'd be a good idea to highlight the owner of the bag in that list.

I do think the current system works fine but i'm open to ideas...

Splits are (as outlined in the beginning) your responsibility to look after...just to give a reminder

For ease just keep it as is. Look at the list for any available splits.

People responsible for splits should keep the arrangements separate. Bulk buy organisers take responsibility for thousands of dollars of other people's money and really need to try and iron out as much potential for error as they can.

Best not to keep a separate list in my opinion. Most people should be able to sort out splits of 1/4 bag etc and not rely on the spreadsheet keeper or BB organiser.

I do not mean to include it as an order. It would be only to show interest in purchasing part of a sack. If someone does not place an order for that bag then it is not included.

It does not add any complexity but is a more organised way of saying that someone is interested in a certain grain but not an entire bag of it.

Still needs to be monitored by the BB organiser. It's complex enough as it stands.

If you can put together a mock spreadsheet to show me what you mean, I'll work it out and see if it's feasible (I'm helping Nibbo with a couple of things although he remains the main organiser) but if it adds a layer of complication, no matter how small, then people will just have to work it out for themselves as they always have. Neither myself nor Nibbo are spreadsheet wonderboys so forgive us if what seems simple to you is not so to us.

There is a section for splits that are available but splits themselves must be organised by individual buyers and one person should place the order and deal with the necessary funds.

I will add the link to my signature as well and see if an admin can put it in the first post.
