Liquor On Parade-fight Back-beer Fest This Saturday

Liquor on Parade (kensington NSW) are having a Beer fest saturday arvo 1-5pm, Chuck Hahn will be there 3-4pm to talk beer, and there will be many beers to taste with discounts across the beer range which is fairly substantial. Its 5 bucks entry which includes a tasting glass.

Have only been to LOP a couple of times and there range is great for a little store.
I would love to be there to offer my support, but Ill be stuck at work. (I,ll be there in spirit)
Come on the locals show some support for a great little store!!

Just make sure none of the buggers do the tasting courtesy of the little guy and then run across the road to buy their six-packs from Woolies, er Dan's.

sounds awesome, will be there.

although i have to say, i went into dan murphys on the weekend and was amazed by the prices and selection. As much as i love liqour on parade, its hard not to consider shopping at dan murphys. I went with a friend whos a manager of a local pub/bottleshop and he was telling me the prices were very close to what they pay. Regardless, i cant see liqour on parade being around much longer, as its impossible to compete with the bulk buying power of Dan Murphys.

Was a pretty well attened event, got to try the Gage Rd IPA, scored a box of Alpha Ale and a MAtilda Bay "Crema", walked out quite happy

Mike I would be very interested to hear what you think of the Alpha Ale. That is a beer I have been very happy to drink.

Gerard, I love this beer, its very hoppy but with enough malt firmness to back it up. Its also too expensive and rare to be drinking it too often. I'm thinking of cloning it.
