Limited Edition Erdinger World Cup Pack

G'day!

I saw this pack of 5 X 500ml Erdinger bottles + limited edition Pokal-glas today at Dan Murphy's for $29.90
As I have needed a Weissbier glass for some time, I pounced on the pack. :beerbang:

I was not paying attention and only expected 4 bottles. I was quite surprised to open the pack and find 3 bottles of Dunkel and 2 of Kristall-weiss. I would have preferred some hefeweizen, but I was in too much of a hurry and it's all Erdinger anyway.

Just thought that I should share this, in case anyone else is a wheat beer head, a football fan, a collector of breweriana, or just in need of a cool Weissbier glass.

And...if that's not enough, you can buy a 3 litre version of the glass for about 70 Euro (whatever that's worth here, but it'll be substantial). link to 3 litre mega World cup glass.

Yeah I got that pack for my birthday last week it is awsome!!

The beer aint to bad either.

Yeah, 3 litres is a mighty size, if a little impractical - unless the AHB guys (inc gals) come for a visit.

I hesitate to say this, but it might be worth $$ as a collectible, due to the limited nature of the supply. But why would U buy a beer glass that you'll never use? :blink:

Maybe some enterprising punter decided to make up their own selection, as this pack was by itself, near the other import beers, but not with the rest of the promo packs.

Cannot say for sure. The glass was my main concern, and the beers were just a bonus. Already consumed one Dunkel.

BTW I've got the standard Erdinger glass which I purchased from Max Krug in Munich. Very elegant way to down the occasional Weizen. :beerbang:

I think your right Linz. The logo is not the same as the 3litre. :blink:

$50 for a glass you can buy retail for $30 incl 5 beers <_< some people have a hide.

Hi all
I got two today from first choice but one had a chip in the glass (bastards)so I got on to them get another tomorrow cool the glass I have is 260mm high so the one on ebay is a standard glass 500ml with a good inch of head space cool worth adding to the colection .

Otherwise the German club near the Gabba could be a bet
Apart from that the Grape, Vintage Cellars

I rang Dan Murphys in SA - No idea and they dont have any - what a bummer.

They are supposed to be getting back to me ref getting 1 or 2 from interstae - but dont like my chances.

Has anyone seen them in Adelaide.
