I noticed there was a thread on here about alcholic lemonade but this is a question that may deserve it's own topic. I have recently eaten my first lemonade lemon. They are unreal. You can just eat them off the tree. A lot sweeter than a lemon and of course my first thought was how to make an alcholic beverage out of one.

Anybody know this wonderful fruit or any recipes for them?

thanks

G'day Henno...

I have seen and tasted these fruit and they are much sweeter than ordinary lemons and therefore ideal for making lemonade whether alcoholic or not. Hence the name 'lemonade lemons'

Most lemonade recipes use some lactose. Lactose wont ferment and therefore will remain sweet to offset the sourness of usual lemons. I'd follow any lemonade recipe (many good ones on this forum), leave out the lactose, and make some ripper lemonade!

Cheers!
