yeah i was looking a bit harder and they dont even have inoculation loops :icon_chickcheers:
If you want to do it let me know, I do have some sway on dealing with these companies. You need to know what quality and quantity you require and I can get a reasonable price. If its Lab glass don't go dirt cheap.

I do sell lab gear and also sell a vast range, more than is on my site, I do not list it though because my suppliers list is huge, and also because I have lots of other things going on in my life so the business is in hibernation (this doesnt mean I wont accept an order, I am just not promoting the business at the moment until my studies have settled down!). I can't really beat prices on 'standard' gear like beakers and stuff as other lab outlets have greater buying capacity, but I can source odd and hard to get items, and am perhaps more convenient. I purposely went through the hoops such that nobody else had to.

PM me if you're looking for anything in particular and I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, I ordered $100 of gear from them ages ago, and keep getting introduction calls from "my new account manager" who gets a little stroppy when told that i don't really need any more lab supplies.

Haha i get this too they even called me doctor once, I don't know where they got that from :D

anyone used the WIltronics Erlenmeyer flasks? what's the quality like?

I bought a handful of thermometers through them and about 1/3 arrived broken...but they were only $2 each so I didnt expect too much...I have just put in an order for a few different size Erlenmeyers through them and I hope they arive intact and can handle the rigours of boiling and immersing in cold water!

I have a 2L Erlenmeyer and a 5L beaker from Wiltronics. Both came packed with a massive excess of packaging (boxes inside boxes, lots of crumpled up paper, etc) such that AusPost would have had to work pretty hard to smash them.

As far as quality of the labware, I can't compare them to other suppliers but I am very happy with the 2L Erlenmeyer. It's thick and sturdy and has certainly stood up to direct boiling/cooling for me. The 5L beaker seems to be much thinner and more fragile, which is (I guess) to be expected. Still, it happily sits on my stove for boiling and in the sink for cooling without breaking. I just have to be careful not to crack it against the bench with my clumsy fingers.

I used to use wiltronics as a source, however their order fillers are shocking.

I have stopped using them after they shipped me the wrong items on at least 4 occasions (items I never ordered, incorrectly sized items), and also items that were already broken, (not broken in transit). Replacements of items they incorrectly sent were replaced with a new package containing more wrong items, and often not the original item that I was seeking a replacement for - recursive errors.
I have had to deal at length with them about these issues with the usual hand waving 'yes sir we'll fix it'.

YMMV - not trying to deter people from buying there, my advice though is to be cautious, as my experience as a reseller of theirs has been less than pleasant
