Currently fermenting an Amarillo Golden Ale with US-05 American Ale dry yeast. First time I have used this yeast and was surprised that at the end of 8 days the krausen had still not dropped.
I don't use an air lock and 7-8 days is my usual end time for an ale.
FG shows that it has finished and I will rack it off today but never had a krausen fail to drop in any of my previous beers.
Is this an aspect particular to this yeast?
