Wow! I'm just drinking my first bottle from a batch I brewed thusly:
Canadian Blond goo
1kg LDME
Wyeast 3787 Trappist High Gravity
In truth, I was just using the brew to grow yeast for an all-grain Belgian Dark Strong Ale, so I didn't pay too much attention, fermented reasonably warm (24C perhaps?) to encourage yeast growth, but I'm quite astonished at the results.
The level of clove aroma and taste is amazing - blowing my socks off. Fantastic, and so trivially easy!
cheers,
T.
