Got a 50 ltr kettle and would really like a tap to eliminate the risk of pain involved with tipping bloody hot liquor out, and having just read Tony's thread on his kettle with a falsie, i would need to be able to screw one of them in later as well, some bloke with a brew shop in qld has a spiggot thing, would that be it?

Ta,

Joe

Not 100 percent sure what you're asking but if you have a 50 L kettle you definitely need a thread and tap. If you are going weldless, you need some rubber or silicon washers and some locknuts. You should use some thread tape and you will obviously need a tap and a barbed thingamajig. You will need some appropriate hose and a hose clamp.

Less necessary but still useful would be a copper/whatever pickup and a hop filter of some description.

Or, if you chill in your kettle (immersion chiller) you could use an autosyphon - works well for me. But ignore this if your keen on a tap or if you no-chill.
