Hey Guys,

Just in the final process of putting my kegerator together, but I'm stuck now.
I drilled a hole through the chest freezer lid and put the font thread though the hole but it doesn't go all the way through to the other side stops short by about 5mm.
Any ideas of how I extend the thread on the font or secure the font with the nut another way?

Its an Andale Kalgoorlie Font

Cheers

Most chest freezer lids are just a bit of tin on the outside, molded plastic on the inside and full of expanding foam...
if its only 5mm your short just try crushing the foam slightly so you can get the nut started on the thread.
The foam is normally pretty stiff but can be easily squashed with a little force.
if you have a small G-clamp that will fit through the hole put a bit of timber on top of the lid to keep the clamp from damaging the top of the freezer and use the g-clamp to squash up up the foam from the inside.
That should give you enough to get the nut on...

hope this helps..

Sqyre.. ;)
