OH YEH!!!! B)

I was thinkin of doin a trial run with just some water today and i though.....Sqyre.. HTFU...

So i went and got me a recipe off Mothballs and he gave some grains, some hops, etc....

and i forgot the yeast...had to send the missus up to see mothballs again...she said she paid with natures credit card.. dunno what she's on about..dont care....

Oh yeh...

Its all good ...(feel like smokin a ciggy)

The Boy becomes a Man...

Everything went sweet as... had a few leaks pop up in the plumbing with the chiller. and pretty much glued my foot to my thong with a bit of spillage.. but all good. I will fix these probs through the week.

Otherwise i can see no other problems...

I would like to thank the fellas who have helped along the way and showed me right from wrong. i.e (k+k versus AG)

You are all champions ( i promised myself i wasn't gunna cry... :( )

Blah blah blah...

(sniff).....I lOvE YoU GUys...

SqyRe,...,,. :super:

Well done Brucie, you climbed that Stairway to Heaven. Looking forward to the day I'm sitting at your bar sipping on your selection of brews. What kind of brew did you pop your cherry with mate ?

Cheers

Browndog

Nice one Squire, there'll be no looking back now.

Congrats mate - If your beer turns out even half as good as your bar/brew rig, you are going to give us all a run for our money. :super:

One of the true gentleman of the craft brewing world, no wonder you're known as Sqyre :)

Cheers ross

... and funny too

Nice one! :super:

Welcome to the 'Dark Side' Sqyre .

I would just love to have seen the Rivers of gold flow from that baby

'Careful with that Axe Eugene' ( Pink Floyd ,Ummagumma)

Pumpy :)

I guess you should have done a cherry stout? :)

Well done sqyre,
wont be long before you have the bee&thistle logo on it

Franko

Whats this recipe then?

Not as hard you imagine if you do a little bit of homework hey :)

congrats! but I'm a little let down by the lack of photos. I want to see that sexy brew stand in action

I thank-you all Gentlemen,

it turned out quit well, a few things i have to fix up / improve.

But i still have lots to learn.

as for the pics...didn't even cross my mind.

Not to mention i had to rip Sh*t off to bypass stuff to make things work.. Poor old brewery is half stripped and lying skew-if in the shed.

Nothing a oxy torch and a mess of sticky tape wont fix... ;)

Thank-you's again.

Sqyre... :beerbang:

Nice work mate! I have to agree with everyone above. Must feel pretty damn good to have one under your belt.

On Ya Brucey, life will never be the same in little ol Veresdale, 2 pubs now, only one serving Real Ale though, be proud. Get that gas axe goin, and on to your next one.

Think we all want to know what you made (recipe).

Cheers and welcome to the dark side.

Oh Sqyre! You constantly crack me up - 'Nature's credit card!'

It doesn't get any funnier than that

Mate, am wrapped to hear your news. Brew up!

Looking forward to getting back over to give you a hand to empty some kegs of what I'm sure will be total quality beer.

Congratulations :beerbang:
Pat

P.S. Any time I want a laugh, I'm just going to pull up your profile and read your posts. Excellent!

Welcome to the firm.....

About to add the 15 minute hop addition myself.

Will be able to report on Ross's Nelson Sauvin Summer Ale in a few weeks.

It all gets easier with every brew.

Congrats again.

Festa.

Nice one Sqyre, still dying to hear what beer you brewed.

C'mon Brucey, Ya made a Tooheys Light Clone, Right?

Sorry, been busy... :D

Actually its a sort of a JS Golden ale clone....

I believe it's Mothball's buddy Nev's recipe which Mothballs modified..and gave to his sister who knew a bloke who met a cab driver that once picked up another bloke who reckoned he heard of someone who suposedly may or not have have had nothing to do with it.

Mothballs had some kegged up at the shop that i tried..quite nice.

A lot people said do a porter or something with a little room for error. But Porters and that are an occasional beer for me so i thought stuff it i want something i can hoe in to on the weekend.

Just need to get myself a mill, some small scales and a refractometer now...
