James Squire "hop Thief" Ale

Hi all,
A few weeks ago the local West Australian paper's weekly beer page mentioned a new Squire brew, called "Hop Thief", does anyone know anything about this? could it be a Imperial IPA, I think the article alluded to this, but I didnt re-read.

Hi Case, the articles by Vic Crossland? I've been scrapbooking those articles for a couple of years now, I remember reading about the 'Hop Thief' but have somehow lost that one. It doesn't look like TheWest.com.au has an archive section either.
And guess what? It doesn't exist on the Malt Shovel website!

Here is an email I received a week ago regarding this beer.

"Hi Mark,

The Hop Thief is still currently being brewed, and artwork being
approved. We are hoping for it to be out on shop shelves on the 20th
March.

If you are a member of our Beer Club, we will be sending out all the
information on the brew itself, and its flavours in our March issue of

As the industry people would know, the 2006 release from JS called "Hof Thief" is now available around Australia from Vintage Cellars stores and selected independant operators.

It will go industry public by the 20th.
