Just pretty much sculled a LC Bright Ale, and am now drinking this "Honey Porter" I picked up today. Believe it or not it seems to have the same sort of sweet, honey aftertaste that the bright ale has, however a touch roastier and maltier than the bright ale that you'd hope for in a Porter.

Not a real big pro on porters, but has lower head retention than I would've thought, and light-medium body. I reckon I can taste some PoR.... Williamette and some Hallertauer.... nope, couldn't tell for the life of me  , found the info on the website :D.

Gah, I can't sample/taste/review beer for peanuts. Worth trying it though, I think  .

I think I need to put on a few kilos to hold my alcohol a bit more, piddled after 2 beers... ohhhhhhh well cheap night for me

Yeh i tried one of these tonight for the first time aswell, i can taste the POR. This beer has a very earthy smell and taste to it, the characteristics of the leatherwood honey come through nicely. Its a unique beer, i dont mind it.
