I am doing a larger actually Josh's Schwarzbier to be exact, anyway it was getting late and i pitched the yeast at about 16C, bit high but i though i'd leave it in the fridge till the temp came down, to cut a long story short, i woke up this morning and the whole thing was frozen solid, it was -6C in there

Let's just say i didn't think it was going to be that cold - so are the yeast going to be ok? i was really looking foward to this brew.

Someone give me some good news :(

Warm her up & it should be fine. Pitching another yeast would be good insurance though.

Cheers Ross

I'd get thawing and start to prepare a new starter...

The good news? The wort is probably pretty sterile..

If the fermentation didn't start you might want to aerate the wort again and pitch some fresh yeast.

Kabooby :)
