Have been downing a few IPA's off late. Am just curious what is the difference of American IPA's and English Style? And also would love to try a few styles of brewing them in partials. Any help would be highly appreciative

American IPAs (there I said it, again :D ) are usually hoppier and stronger and mostly use American hops like Cascade, Amarillo, Centennial, etc etc. English IPAs are the original, use UK hops like EKG, Fuggles, Challenger etc etc. They're usually not quite as strong with less intense hoppiness. There's info on both these styles at the BJCP site (along with lots more styles). Here are links to AIPA and EIPA. Click me.

Bah! Beat me! All that extra typing too! :p

Knew those Mavis Beacon lessons would come in handy one day.

I will Luke, as long as you don't use the Bohemian or Czech when referring to a Bohemian or Czech Pilsner. ;)
