Someone gave me this old beer font and I want to restore it and use it.
For the life of me I can't work out how to open it to replace the beer line.
My guess is that you have to screw the tube off but damned if I can make it move!
Anyone got one of these that can advise?

Have you taken the taps off the font?

Take the shank off from behind the tap and feed it through. I find top to bottom easier

Yep. Have taken the tap of.
This is what it looks like. Just a solid block of steel with an opening for the liquid.
The connections for the beer line are in the tube somewhere.

That was the shank I was talking about, mine screwed out.

As an aside, it looks like you have a short font, and they are normally mounted on top of a box or on the edge of a raised platform on the bar, to allow adequate space to fill a beer glass. FWIW, I have a single tap one at home.
